An excellently preserved port city & commercial center.
Within less than an hour’s drive from Da Nang City, Hoi An Ancient Town is located along the picturesque Thu Bon River. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, Hoi An Ancient Town used to be a major trading port dating back to the 15th century. Once an important trading hub for silk textiles, ceramics, porcelains, spices and tea, this iconic location now resembles a harmonious multicultural gathering spot.
We recommend visiting during late afternoon to night-time for the optimal experience, as that is when the night markets are bustling, and the Ancient Town shines the brightest with the beautiful traditional lanterns.
